What if smoking pot was just a century-long fad? Like, pogs, warhammer, magic cards, star wars cards, or any other other numerous fads out there, but just stretched out over a period of time? What if people just lost interest in it?

I mean, I know people are going to respond to this saying "it won't happen." But I mean, cmon, just think about it, what if...WHAT IF PEOPLE!

I gues you could use the same sort of idea for other drugs, e.g. Heroin/Crack. For those it would be a fucking miracle if they could be a fad, especially i they were going out of fashion. It would be very effective for ridding the streets of addicts.

For weed, it would be kinda weird, I would be like "I just picked up a ten bag"
and my friends would be like "Thats old, weplay chess now" :P

Obviously it wouldnt happen, but its a fun thought anyway.

to be fair, there may be a small posibility of it happening.think about it... back in the hippie era LSD was really popular and its not that popular nowadays.
but yeah... its a nasty concept. just imagine- youre out at a party and you ask someone if they want some tokes on a joint and they say "oh! you STILL toke?!" as if youve asked them if they want to see your Ultra Rare Charizard shiny. urgh!

very unlikely something of this magnitude would lose interest amongst stoner peers.

^^ I like you

Yes I doubt smoking weed is a fad, possibly for certain people it is, but not for a community as a whole. I can definately see where you where going with this one though, good example with the LSD too (Y)

Guess the only way we'll know is to see what the worlds like in a hundred years.

But think about it. It wont be that different even if it does go out of fashion. You just wont be smoking it, it would happen gradually, it would be phased out of your life as it would get more and more boring. Its not like, tomorrow all of your friends and everyone you know that smokes weed will suddenly say, "Weed is so boring, im gonna stop smoking it"

So stop worrying and toke up.

Yes, but as I continued to smoke gradually less (Which I do believe I am actually starting to do) there would be one other kid who gradually began to smoke more!

I have to agree that, well it just ain't goin away. Weed's been around since at least 28 B.C, acording to ancient chinese records.

I don't think we have to worry. :)

I've found myself smoking less and less nowadays too. I think its just because its becoming less and less exciting.

Stop smoking for a while and start up again. Maybe that'll make it feel better...

And so, weed will not go out of fashion as the wheel of weed goes on.
