Price & Type?

Im not new to the whole weed thing but I am a bit inexperienced in the price and figuring out what type it is. I feel im doing something right though because the people I talk with say that the prices i pay are decent and I have only been cheated once, it wasnt quantity but I was cheated in quality

What are all those nice little signs to tell how good ur shit is?

I know: You dont want stem, leaves, or shit thats startin to flower

hairy? how can I tell if its good or bad
crystals: accually ive never really looked till today but give me a tip anywayz
smell???? The stronger it smells the better it is? or not always true..

plz dont flame just chill and help out if ya feel like it

BTW im getting what seems to be an 1/8th of purple haze for 50$ now im pretty damn sure thats average/good but I just wanted to double check (as far as region I live in California real close to L.A.)

Well im not the most knowledgable around here but for one thing, Purple haze? I was under the impression that that strain pretty much no longer existed. It may be purple but that doesnt make it purple haze. You can make anything purple by doing something with the lights, so maybe your dealers lying to you.
And, where are you from? $50 for an 8th?! thats pricier than where i live.

And in general, if your buds got a nice smell, lots of crystals and red hairs then its cool. Although you can get good bud that hasnt got red hairs and crystals, but its just a general rule.

the guy never told me what it was I just stupidly took the missguided judgement of my friend.

this guy wouldnt rip me off as far as price (he's somewhat a friend)

and I guess its pretty expesive here, I saw people saying they buy a gram for 10$ here its always cost me 15-20$

Well i dont know about the prices in your area, but that much for an 8th sounds a lot. i pay £20, about $30.
