GREAT MOVIES TO WATCH WHEN BAKED

Post by dolarhydecb »

I've always loved watching movies that are just weird and out there, that take you a few times to understand or have some far out meaning. Also those movies that add that trippy affect in them with lighting and/or special affects. Some that come to mind are:

The Wall
Wild at Heart
Eraserhead
Yellow Submarine
Head
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Muholland Drive
Videodrome
Dead Ringers
Naked Lunch
Natural Born Killers
Requiem for a Dream/Pi
2001 A Space Odyssey
A Clockwork Orange
Brazil
Koyaanisqatsi / Powaqqatsi
Chronos
Dune - Lynch Version
Lost Highway
Killing Zoe
Pulp Fiction
Reservoir Dogs
Kill Bill 1+2(Best to watch both on a shitty day with a few blunts at hand)
True Romance
The Doors
Citizen Kane
The Seven Samuri
More/Obscured by Clouds
Dark City/Existenz/The Matrix
Blue Velvet
Altered States
12 Monkeys
Cube
Vanilla Sky
Jacob's Ladder
Memento/Irreversible
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Dead Man
Mystery Train
The Book of Life
Henry Fool
Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me
Blood Simple
Fargo
Godfather Trilogy
Miller's Crossing
Barton Fink
The Big Lebowski
Raising Arizona
Limbo
Lone Star
Kids/Bully
Half Baked
Ammores Perros
Coffee and Cigarettes
Ghost Dog
Down by Law
Night on Earth
Stranger than Paradise
Goodfellas
SCAM
Raging Bull
Scarface
Cape Fear
Once Upon a Time in America
The Shining
Taxi Driver
Bad Lieutenant
Safe
Chinatown
Repulsion
The Man Who Fell to Earth
Carlito's Way
Apacolypse Now
Tommy/Quadrophrenia
Schitzopolis
Fantastic Planet
Pink Flamingos(CAUTION)
Dr. Stranglove
Begotten
Harold and Maude
Fantasia
Allegro Non Troppo (Better for Shrooms)
Finding Nemo (Seriously)
Gladiator/Braveheart
Barbarella
Trainspotting
City of Lost Children

Also recomendations for Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii/Delecate Sound of Thunder/Pulse(Includes the full DSOTM)/Roger Waters In the Flesh Live/Crystal Voyager(surfing flick with echoes, real hard to find)

Koyaanisquatsi is fucking insane. It's a movie of just images in weird filming techniches. Like fast motion with clouds and NYC at night. It's an experience hard to explain. I'd say you need a good hour of freetime to watch it though because you should sit through the whole thing otherwise it'll be messed up. Also you gotta be patient. Try finding a trailer online and that's what the whole movie is like until the end which is an amazing sequence.
