Tourches and pipes?

I'm scared, very, very scared. No ones ever told me but I assume that tourch lighters are bad for glass pipes? Maybe the heat could make it crack or something? I just found ou tmy friend used a tourch on my baby (Inside out hammer) and when I looked at it the resin from when they used it was caked on it, not think black but a very think burnt grey. I'm scared that it would be hard to get off come cleaning time or maybe the hole could colapse or start cracking, or any of it could start cracking.

Maybe I'm scared of this because one of my smaller pipes did this while it was being cleaned out one day.

I wouldnt think any thing would hurt it, but torch lighters suck any wayz butane is nasty and they torch the fuck outta ur weed..

don't know bout torch/jet lighter harming your bong or any other device, but I know I love 'em...especialy those that change colour...

haha calm down man, i have a torch lighter and im smoked my glass pipe with it countless times, nothin bad happens, and its just as easy to clean. When you say the resin turned grey, do you mean like ash? cos if so you probably just lit the resin as well as the weed. chills
