Cannabis plants and heat detectors

Post by mosherben »

Hey, I'm moving into a house for uni but my friend who is going to be living with me says that the council is now making fire safety rules in student houses. My friend asked them to use a heat detector instead of a smoke alarm so any stoner could do what they would in their room.:) I'm planning on growing, and would 2 cannabis plants in my room trigger the heat detector?

LOL, Do you really think something designed to detect fire is gonna go off because you have some lights :?: grow lights aren't as hot as fire  [/b]

^ Even then two plants and a small light won't trigger that. You need quite a warm heat signature to be spotted.

Me and my friends have done several 36 plant crops before without being caught by those heat sensors on the 5-0 choppers before. And this area is swarming with them, as there are a hell of alot of growers.
Mind you, we did every grow in my friend's basement.

it's actually not fed IR scanners I'm asking about, its heat detectors to detect fires. Just found out they are hard wired too so I can't disable it. :?

I'm posotive it wont detect your lights. As long as you use proper ones.

Think about it mosherbean or whatever... Could you put a regular houseplant in there without the detectors going off? If so then there should be no problems, just simply ask if house plants are allowed if they say yes then there detectors are not going to go off, besides that you body probably puts off more heat then a plant would anyways..

Anyways, you'll be fine. And if you're seriously over paranoid just use fluero's.
