Agreed, which is why I tripped out on Mr. "I wont share my mexican seed weed, instead I tink I will punch you"

At the Jerry Garcia shows at the warfield I worked at the Warfield there was this guy who NEVER missed a show, and ALWAYS brought a 3 foot tall glass bong - hand blown and beautiful. I never figured who decided he could bringf it in to the shows, but the doors wre never my problem. I worked the floor, usually the front left. So hey, if you got it this far, Im not going to harsh your buzz. Plus the sight of this hippy 50 year old in a tye dye dress dancing around with a huge ass bong giving out hits always brought a smile to my face, and a hit to my lungs.

I loved how people thought it was cool to get staff high. Once a guy asked for my flashlight for a sec, I saw he was cutting up gel acid. When he was done I asked if it was good - hadnt seen any in a LONG time. He sort of did this weird standing physical stutter - like he jittered real fast but only for a second, then said "here" and handed me a chunk of something.

15 hits of some of the best black gel acid - best acid PERIOD I have ever done. Never got to thank him, either. Lots of stories about the Dead and Jerry, obviously.

Goo, walking along in the Mission in the rain...

Hehe i'm pretty darn good at noticing wether somebody is a stoner or not :)

I guess most stoners are very keen at that sorta thing lol, last year five different total strangers offered me a jay when i was at a festival, mad fun :D

ofcourse i returned the favour immediately after their spliff was consumed :)
Computer games don't affect kids. I mean, if Pac-Man had affected us as kids, we would all be running around darkened rooms, munching magic pills, and listening to repetitive electronic music.

I bet you've seen about every type of drug under the sun then If you worked for the grateful dead. I knew a guy who was a deadhead and he said at all them concerts you could find sheets of acid, shitloads of pot, pills, whatever you name it it was there. Allthough he said physcadellics were the big thing at these events.

I envy you man that sounds like one cool job.

Lots and lots of endless drugs. Actually it was probably the hardest job Ive ever had - while the band slept or jammed or did drugs or ate, and the roadies setup and toredown, I was first a caterer - imagine feeding the band and the crew and the "family" - say about 200 people 3 meals a day, menu, cook, dish it out, clean it up, etc. From there I was promoted to sort of a floor manager. I couldnt take it - working 20 hour days 6 days a week, so I asked to be stationed at the Warfield.

Thanks man, I love you too. Lets hug it out...

Working for the dead was just plain hard. I was high for free all the time, but that didnt offset the hard work. I carried sheetrock for a construction crew one summer and that job was easier...

Well, working for Jerry and the boys does mean Im an old fuck - 37 years.
