me and a few mates are going to amsterdam on august bank holiday, but obviously want to go on the cheap....
so does anyone know of any extremly cheap flights companys that are tried and tested?
cheapest iv found is £40 from east midlands airport on 25th of august until the 1st of septempber.
also if anyone else is planning on going august bank holiday weekend , let me know and il meet up for a toke

£40 sounds a good price, i doubt your gonna find a cheaper price. is that return?

rofl, i missed them by 2 hours on the internet, then i went to hmv today and sold out the last ones last night, so i was like fucking furious mad with myself for not sorting the tickets out sooner. so we all agreed to go to the dam on that weekend lol.

let me know what hotels and flights u find,
cheapest iv found so far, is 40 quid return for a flight on the 25th and fly back on the 30th, and £130 for the same amount of time in a hotel each person. so£170 per person for 5 nights.... which isnt bad but i want cheaper

so help please!!!!!!!!!1

well the august bank holiday is busy as fuck for airports so we were gonna either go then or the week before. fingers crossed for a second batch of tickets. my hunch is that they didnt release all the weekend ones cause once theyve sold out the day ones sell much faster, thats what im hoping anyways

i doubt it, i think it sold out quick because of all the hardcore iron maiden and marilyn manson fans, myself, i was going for the likes of kasabian/killers/foo fighters type of bands...... not quite so hardcore.
go august bank holiday, it will be fucking cool if a few from WG could meet up for a smoke that weekend.

that was exactly my views aswell, but after going last year, i really didnt wanna miss out, cause even if the music is shit, the atmosphere and experience is well worth it.

update on prices :-
40 quid return flight on wednesday 24th till wednesday the 31st is cheapest i can find still, thats including tax and hidden costs.

£160 quid for 3x double rooms at the hotel arrive in central amsterdam. its only 1 star but fuck it its only for sleeping

il be so stoned i wont fucking care what im sleping on lol.

so all in all for 6 of us to go to amsterdam for a whole week is gonna be £200 each.
not bad at all i thought considering leeds was £150 by the time uv paid petrol and booking fees to get their, not to mention the ounce of weed and beer u have to take lol.
im definatly up for the dam...........
anyone know fo any better deals than what iv found please enlighten me.

I'm going to Am'Dam again this year, from the 31st of July till the 6th of august.

I payed...

Flight - 60 (Return)
Hotel - 180 (6 Nights)

Then I'm taking about another 200 for pot, there's about 6 of us goin' with pretty much identical amounts of cash, so we'll be sorted for a week.

It's called the Grand Amstelveen. It's a 4* hotel situated between 5 - 10 miles outside Amsterdam, with direct bus routes to Amsterdam Centraal.

The weirdest thing you'll see in Amsterdam are probably the double decker trains. Holy shizzle.
