Question about my germination process...
I'm using the towel method, with peroxide, in a tubbaware bowl sealed and very moist...in a shoebox on my cable box cus it gets hot and I put the thermometer in there...and it's 85-95 degrees....but there's this fuzzy stuff around the seeds...is that fungus?

i have no idea but a way that always works is just get a small waterbottle and fill it halfway with good water, not sink water, then just put the seeds in and then put the bottle in a drawer and check on it every 12 hours. if they float just tap them and they will fall to the bottom. and for ur ungermed seeds u can just do the stuff above exept add peroxide, you really dont need all that extra heat stuff trust me

You're using the same method i used for this grow, but i used my stereo instead of a cable box. Im not sure of the temp difference, but i just left my stereo on and it got a tiny bit warm, a white tupperwear container with 2 plyes of paper towel sprayed down with PH controlled water. I got 8/8 of the seeds to germ in 3 days, the only reason i can think of for the white stuff is temp is too high and its fungus...
The two plants ive started now are under fleuros, and i didn't even germ the seeds. Plopped em right into the soil, sprayed it a few times (just lightly) and through em right under the fleuro so they would begin to photosynthesize as soon as they broke surface. Make sure the seeds aren't exposed to light, and more importantly be very patient. Can take 2-10 days to break the surface, but in my experience with this method, they always do.
One thing i would do differently if i wasn't using my HPS to flower a few other plants, is is use my HPS over the fleuros for veg. I did that with the last grow and those babies took off, thickest stems ever at only 12 days from seed, infact i posted them on a growers forum and people asked me if i was using steroids, but it was all grow organically. If you want, PM me with any growing questions and I'll try to help you out...
and hope this made sense, and pretty ripped

could you please explain this method more indepth? i was told to put the seeds on a plate with a paper towel underneath, and one on top and water it wit 75 watt lights on it 24 hours a day to make the seeds hatch. so you're saying keep it dark and jus put it in the soil?Weedguru Sammy wrote:You're using the same method i used for this grow, but i used my stereo instead of a cable box.
