Makin a good homemade bong using plexi glass...

I looked through all seven pages of bongs and didnt see shit on this.

So Im wanting to make a real good homemade bong, Something like youd buy. I already got a bowl and stem n shit, Thats all tooken care of. But i got this idea to use a plexi glass hollow pipe as the stem for it. Anyone else made one like these? Anything bad about smokin from plexi glass?
