So your friend didn't really tell the cop you were smoking? What sucks is that cops are allowed to lie to you to try and get a confession. Supposedly criminals lie to them so it's legal for them to tell you whatever to get you to turn yourself in.
Like if two people get arrested and neither are talking, the cops might just tell each of them that the other one ratted them out. Pretty soon you have two confessions from people who don't want to take all the heat themselves.

Lesson #1: If a cop comes up and tells you your friend ratted you out, he's lying. They do that shit all the time.
