To anybody whos ever gotten/know someone who had pneumonia..

How much more time will it be until I'm able to smoke some I got pneumonia like two weeks ago and got put on antibiotics, Levaquin to be specific.. for ten days and tomorrow (thanksgiving) will be the last pill So what you guys think im good to smoke now or should I wait till like friday to smoke? I feel good excpept for some pain, unnocitable though. the doc said it might be weeks for that to go away.

I'll admit I took four hits off a roach right now, just cuz I found it and it was too tempting...

Suggestions?? Maybe someone with a medical background

This sucks hard, come on guys nobodys ever gotten sick?? Im just scared of getting a relapse, though levaquin is supposed to be like the a-bomb for respiratory infections.. its a $500 antibiotic for 10 pills

did the doctor say no drinking when you fell sick? if so, you should ask him if you can now...

if you can drink, you probably can smoke as well...

my thoughts exactly, i learnt a little bit about pneumonia at uni and i would really not be smoking wit h a lung related illness you will just slow or halt your recovery......are you on antibiotics?

I dont think smoking is bad on anti biotics like drinking is, i do it all the time. I'm sure you'd be fine if you did smoke, but i'd wait till it has completely cleared up.

Yeah but I finished the antibiotic treatment already

just wait it out til its all cleared up....if you've finished your course of antibiotics chances are that it is almost cleared up (if the doc prescribed the right one). personally i'd only start smoking again if you were back to 100%

Well ive come to a conclusion, I'm only smoking about half a j a day, until my lungs feel 100%.. The reason being since he prescribed levaquin, which is a pretty strong antibiotic for p neumonia and bronchitis, im pretty sure its about 90% gone, and NO cigarettes. Then i'll gradually increase my dose

Well sounds like your getting better, pneumonia is a real pain in the ass. You dont want to go the same way as Jim Henson do u?
